I was curious what the process would be to transfer my domain to Unflux. I am looking for a good server with PHP and you guys seem to know your stuff. Thanks in advance

The process in most cases is pretty painless, it just takes a little time. You will need to have access to your domain's control panel at your registrar (where you registered the domain), and have access to change the nameserver settings to our servers. That information we will provide you upon signup, so all you need to do to get things rolling is choose a plan that fits your needs, and sign up with us. In your welcome email you will get the DNS info for your domain, and all you have to do then is wait the standard 24-48hrs for your domain to show up on our servers.

I apologize in advance... this stuff confuses me. I found this on my current host's site, I registered my domain with myhosting.com so do I need to contact them to find out my registrar info? I think I found my registrar info a while back but I can't remember where, is there a website to look that up? Sorry for the questions, probably very easy answers.

that link you provided does not let me in because it's behind your log in info. But what you will need to do is contact myhosting.com and find out what their transfer policy is with domains registered through them. Unfortunately, a lot of registered domains remain property of the host in cases like this. Although I am not 100% sure how they will handle it. It's best just get that information from them first.

Well I finally got my login info to change my nameserver settings. Just so I get this straight... I need to sign up for a hosting package with Unflux then wait for the welcome email and change the DNS? During this time will my site go down or will my email be interupted? Thanks for all your help. I will be switching over this week

That's correct. Once you sign up with us and receive the Welcome Email, you can change the DNS to our server. And f you coordinate the taking down of the site from the old host and moving to our servers, you should incur little to no downtime.

Emails on the other hand are a little tricky. As the DNS changes bounce around the net, you may lose a few emails here and there, but overall you shouldn't lose anything significant in the move. Just maintain access to both sites until the transfer is completed to be sure.
